Which EVs are compatible?+
All Ladegrid Charge models use a J1772 connector, compatible with every major EV brand. Tesla owners get a NACS adapter included in the box. Works with BMW, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Rivian, Volkswagen, and more.
Do I need a panel upgrade?+
Charge Core 40 (9.6 kW) works with most 50A circuits via a standard NEMA 14-50 plug. Charge Home 48 (11.5 kW) needs a 60A circuit and can be hardwired or plugged in. Our installation partners assess your panel before work begins.
Is installation included?+

Can I install it outdoors?+
Yes. Both models are NEMA 4 weatherproof rated for outdoor mounting in rain, snow, and direct sunlight.
How fast does it charge?+
Charging speed depends on your vehicle's onboard charger. Charge Core 40 (9.6 kW) adds roughly 30-35 miles/hour. Charge Home 48 (11.5 kW) adds roughly 35-44 miles/hour. Your actual rate depends on the car, battery temperature, and state of charge.
Can I use it with my Ladegrid backup kit?+
The EV chargers draw significantly more power than a backup battery can provide. During outages, your Ladegrid backup kit focuses on household essentials. EV charging resumes when grid power returns.
