Why LFP

LFP cells are far more thermally stable than the NMC/NCA chemistry in most consumer electronics. They have no risk of thermal runaway under normal use, and they produce no fumes, no smoke, and no carbon monoxide when operating - which is why they are the only kind of household backup that can responsibly run in a bedroom or apartment.

Normal operating range

• Discharge: -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F).
• Charge: 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F). Do not charge below freezing.
• Storage: 0°C to 35°C, ideally at 40–80% state of charge.

Indoor use

Safe to operate in any well-ventilated indoor space, including bedrooms, apartments, and condos. Keep at least 30 cm (12 in) of clearance on all sides for cooling. Do not cover the unit while in use or charging.

What to avoid

• Submersion in water or operating during direct rainfall.
• Charging from a non-Ladegrid solar panel without a compatible MPPT controller.
• Connecting devices that exceed the kit's rated output (overload protection triggers automatically).
• Opening or modifying the battery housing - this voids warranty and bypasses the BMS.
• Storing fully discharged or fully charged for long periods.

In the unlikely event of damage

If the battery is dropped, crushed, or shows visible swelling or cracking, stop use immediately, move to an open area away from flammable materials, and contact us at contact@ladegrid.com. We will arrange safe pickup and replacement under warranty.

Shipping and disposal

All Ladegrid batteries are UN38.3-certified for ground and air shipment. End-of-life: do not put in household trash - return to us for free recycling, or take to a certified lithium-battery recycler.
